Give yourself a cold protein shake and a hot cup of coffee, and your day is bound to get off to a great start. Here's one of the recipes I use. Just add the following ingredients to a high-powered blender, in the order shown:
1 cup water
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/3 cup oats (not the quick-cook kind)
1 teaspoon fish oil (healthy, but not required)
2 large handfuls fresh spinach
1/2 frozen banana (unfrozen can work as well)
Plenty of ice.
Blend well and serve. This is especially good in the morning with a hot cup of coffee. Enjoy!
