As a high school co-op student, my cousin Janis worked an office job at a large manufacturing plant. One day her boss asked her to get on the intercom and summon one of her fellow employees—a man she didn’t know.
The man’s name was Jesus. Only instead of pronouncing it “hey ZEUS,” she called him Jesus! As in “Jesus Gonzales, please report to Human Resources.”
Cue roaring laughter from the factory floor—including Jesus, and me every time I share this story. But here’s the Ultimate Reminder I learned that day from Janis:
Don’t forget how to laugh.
Life is hard enough—why make it harder? Be willing to laugh at and learn from your own innocent mistakes.
P.S. Who are the people who make you laugh? Why not take time this week to connect with them—maybe thank them for lightening your load and making your life better?
Life is hard enough—why make it harder? Be willing to laugh at and learn from your own mistakes.
